BIG FOOT STEPS

A solitary figure
I roam these rocks, solo
This mountain is my castle
I just want to be left alone

Don't follow in my footsteps
(Don't follow, don't follow)
Don't follow in my footsteps
Don't follow in my big foot steps

I swim in the river
I climb the evergreen
I hunt with the cougar
Never heard and seldom seen

Don't follow in my footsteps
(Don't follow, don't follow)
Don't follow in my footsteps
Don't follow in my big foot steps

A man cut a cutline
Right through my back yard
Then he piped a pipeline
Through my paradise, under the stars

Don't follow in my footsteps
(Don't follow, don't follow)
Don't follow in my footsteps
Don't follow in my big foot steps

So I rode the pipeline
From Bella Coola to the Georgia Straight
I hoisted my protest sign
And stopped cars on the lion's gates

Don't follow in my footsteps
(Don't follow, don't follow)
Don't follow in my footsteps
(Don't follow, don't follow)
Don't follow in my footsteps
(Don't follow, don't follow)
Don't follow in my footsteps
Don't follow in my big foot steps
